Our Clients
Our clients vary in age, interests, amount of wealth, sophistication and experience with professional money management. Some are current or former entrepreneurs and business owners, some are trustees for individual and/or corporate fiduciaries of retirement plans, others are working or retired professionals, while still others are the beneficiaries of wealth built by past generations.
However, all of our clients share two fundamental characteristics:
they need an experienced and objective adviser who integrates the wide array of investment, tax and estate planning issues involved in their financial lives; and
they desire a long-term relationship based on a realization that "above market" returns and reduced volatility are available only through a long-term commitment to a broadly structured portfolio.
The variety of needs embedded in these characteristics adds both a richness and interest to our practice and is why we believe that effective "wealth management" must include comprehensive financial planning tailored to each client's specific needs.

To help you assess whether we are the right firm for you, the following observations about our clients and our typical arrangements may be helpful:
Profile of Clients
We have approximately 85 clients whose investment assets generally range from about $600,000 to more than $20 million. Of these, about 90% are individuals and families, while 10% are trusts and corporations. Individuals range in age from their early 30s to their 90s.
Standard and Special Arrangements
Our commitment is to provide the highest level of comprehensive financial counseling. We are convinced this works best when the relationship is long-term. We typically do not provide a "one-time" review of a client's financial situation (although we receive requests for this frequently) because the time and effort involved in developing an understanding of an isolated financial situation detracts from our to ability to focus on our long-standing clients.
New Business and Addition of Clients
Given our objective of providing personalized guidance with a relatively small, close-knit professional staff, we selectively add clients who can benefit from our services and have a high likelihood of developing a long-term relationship with us.
